History of Arlen Ness motorcycles and logo
Arlen Ness was born in Minnesota (USA) in 1939, and in 1970 he was fully carried away by the custom motorcycles. During the next forty years, he acquired the reputation as the most successful moto customizer around the world. Because of master`s innovative and nonstandard approaches to work, the handcrafted motorcycles under the Arlen Ness mark clearly stand out compared to other motorcycles.
He was the first who created gold plated motorcycle details, decorative engraving, aluminum transmission components and painted details in different colors. For everyone, it seemed strange and curiously, but Arlen created the velour and plush seats. Ness equipped the one motorcycle model with two engines, so that`s how he designed an extremely powerful machine. It is interesting that Ness kept a significant part of motorcycle models for himself, so he didn’t want to sell the production fully. His workshop, which is organized as a museum, shows the most famous models. Nowadays, Cory Ness, the son of an outstanding engineer, is a new company`s manager. In addition, the Ness family sells motor-equipment, spare parts and the Victory and Indian motorcycles.
